I'm sorry, but this story is just too contrived even for a supernatural science fiction series. In a faux universe where we are happy to believe in monsters and aliens and other such forms of escapism, it is just too much for me to accept in this reincarnation/past lives scenario that Mulder and Scully and Samantha - and even the Cigarette Smoking Man - had souls that had all met previously.
Did anyone else see the huge flaw in part of this story line in regards the gas chambers? Anyway, it was all too cutesy and for me went against what had been built through the first three seasons, where the story lines were credible and believable at the end of the spectrum. This just made me feel very disappointed. 1/5
