Podcast: Episode 45: In League With the NRL Round 7

We've made it almost a third of the way through the season, and the big guns are starting to flex their muscles. We discuss how a few of the teams are travelling and what may be their strengths and weaknesses after round seven. And on today's Talking Point, I rave on about the amount of wasted time that carries on in the modern game, and how some of these aspects are slowly starting to destroy the enjoyment of the game.

Podcast: Episode 44: Album Review: Smith/Kotzen's "Smith/Kotzen"

The pandemic in 2020 has already brought forth a few gems when it comes to new albums, and this pairing from beloved guitar gods Richie Kotzen and Adrian Smith is one of the most unlikely ones. The music is blues-based which may be slightly left of field, but if you come in for the guitar solos, you won't be disappointed. I offer my opinion on what is produced in this episode.

Podcast: Episode 43: What Does the Contract List Say About Australia's Cricket

This week, Trevor Hohns announced the 17 players who have been offered Australian contracts for the next 12 months. And it has raised some questions not only about how Australia's players look going into that 12 months period, but what the selectors see as to our prospects in that time period. None of it appears positive, as we ramble on about in this episode.

Podcast: Episode 42: Album Review: The Offspring's "Let the Bad Times Roll"

The Offspring never left the building, but it seems to have been forever and a day since we got some new material from the band to shine some light on a grey day. Well fear no longer, as the lads are back with their new album. In today's episode I run the rule over the new songs, and decide if the band still has the fire and anger that made it one of the best bands from the 1990's.

Podcast: Episode 41: Does Anzac Day Footy Need a Shakeup?

It's that time of year again when we wake up before dawn, bow our heads silently, knock back an early beer, and settle in for the Anzac Day traditions of footy. But every year we already know who is going to be playing each other. Has that become a tiresome tradition? Is there a need to change this up and see other matches take centre stage on the day? Or should we be happy with what we have and just get on with it. If you have 15 minutes or so, I'd like to give you my opinion on it all.

Happy Campers News: April 14, 2021

The Australian government has told police to ease up on the fines as over $12,000,000 has been taken out of the pockets of many Australians who haven’t really done something bad. Some have been bad as a man was fined $500 for going over a speed limit of 10km/h and he was only going at 14km/h. And another two men were fined $500 each because they were fighting on a footy field in a game. Another one was when a woman was fined after swearing and the worst was when a woman could have been fined $2,500,000 after not selling her new inventions. Police had this brought to there attention and are now only giving fines to the people who truly disservice them.

Early this morning a young girl ran into a car at Umina beach caravan park. The car stopped at a corner to see if there were cars coming when the little girl turned left straight into the car. She then was upset and went back to her cabin. The 9 year old girls family was told they had to pay for repairs which the man who was driving the car at the time said was about $1200. The mother of the little girl complained about the man as she said he shouldn’t have parked his car there. The man told the caravan park that he was waiting for a car, the girl ran into him he didn’t run in to the girl. The woman who complained was fined $800 for not telling the truth and accusing the man for something he didn’t do. Overall the family was fined $2000 and the woman blames it on her daughter. The 9 year old is now forced to do chores until she has enough pocket money to pay the bills.

Lorikeets have been quite popular to feed in the last 9 days with many children and adults feeding these cute birds all their leftovers. In return the birds perch themselves on the person with food and nibble away. A woman has been fined $2000 after she complained about a little 5 year old girl who apparently stole her bird off her shoulder. The 5 year olds mother said that the woman had no food left and the lorikeet left her to get the food from her daughter. The woman had went to reception and told the manager about this awful thing and the manager didn’t do anything about it. The woman went to the police to put in a complaint but she was fined $800 for her nonsense, at the cost of her fines she could have easily bought her own lorikeet.

A daughter is suffering after her parents took away the light from her window after building an outdoor area right in front of it. The parents have been fined $400 each as they gave both of their other children a window but not their middle child. If you are a middle child and are feeling this pain please visit our website for help.

A new invention

A new invention has been found! A woman who would like to keep her name and age private, has discovered a new and improved way to read in the dark! Using her child’s headlight that they were meant to be using at the time, she securely strapped it to her forehead and flicked on the light. This is now on popular demand in all stores! Her photo has gone viral on the internet and has received more than one billion views. She has already got 50 000 people who want to buy the product, and if she does not deliver she will be fined $500 per person. Leading to a whopping 2,500,000 million dollars.

Gangnam Style!

A young seven year old boy was doing gangnam style while sailing on a ferry to Palm beach when he gangnam styled off the edge of the ferry. The boys family were laughing their heads off when they realised he was struggling to swim. The ferry quickly sailed away and the boat driver jumped off to save the child. Once the child was retrieved he was refused to come back with his family because, as a young general man in a champion hoodie explained, ‘his gangnam style wasn’t good enough.’ The family has been taken into police custody for neglect and the boy has been sent to an orphanage.

Record Broken

A record has been Brocken when a 16 year old boy reached 948 on Crossy road the boy won $1000 for his excellent gaming and has been offered a job at the gaming university on a private island. A 71 year old guy said he will pay the 16 year old $1 for every point he gets on Crossy road which gives the boy a multi million pathway. The boys parents both work in out door places and are not that excited about having there son playing video games for a living. The makers of Crossy road have also decided to give the kid 45 percent of their earnings which is over millions and billions of dollars.

Clumsy one in town

A ten year old girl had a quite clumsy day yesterday. And the question is what have her parents been teaching her considering they are both high school teachers. The child failed to sit on her chair falling straight into the ground. She also managed to trip over some sticks when walking to campsites. She then was sitting in a chair at a camp table, it was at that moment she knelt down to get her friend's shoes but of course instead she got stuck in between the table and chair. Other than that the young girl is extremely smart through her school but just can be clumsy.

Freaking Freak Out

Last night a woman isolated herself in her caravan after she spotted two mice. The woman was sitting with family and friends at her caravan site when she suddenly went silent with a following of ahhh ahhh. She went into a panic at the site of a mouse crawling under the table. She curled up in her chair and didn’t leave until she was Convinced the mice had ran away. The mice had escaped but the woman is stilled worried that they went in her annex although we believe her son who’s sleeping in the annex is the one to be worried.

Dodgy Make Up

A very young looking bloke was spotted the other day with what looks to be some very badly done makeup! NO! A black eye! Should we be worried? Experts say that this will last 3-6 years and there is no cure, what a shame. A video was captured of the man shaking his head in sadness when he was told this news. He looks over to his wife and starts to cry. This is heartbreaking! We were informed that another man was hurt when the black eye man threw a punch at him. But he is assumed to make a full recovery in 2-3 weeks. It happened during a rugby league game, things got fired up when a guy threw a punch and the black eye gave the other player strength to demolish the other guy who should be fine in 2-3 weeks. Both players have been suspended for 6 games and fined $500 each.

Dopey Teenager Wets Himself

A 17 year old boy got splashed last night when he climbed up a pole with a bucket up the top. He was said to be showing off or being like Tarzan. The boy bumped the bucket and all the water splashed onto him. The spotlight game quickly ended because it was freezing that night let alone being covered in freezing water. Witnesses say it was hilarious because it was a surprise and no one saw it coming.

Happy Wedding Anniversary!

Today we celebrate a milestone of 13 years together. Happy days for Amanda and Chris. Well done guys!

After more than 20 complaints about this incident the man's manager at the reptile park told the caravan park that he will lose his job and that the man will not step foot in the holiday spot again. Mark’s Roads and Motorists' Association was called to the rescue after a 15 year old girl’s tire on her bike went flat. The Man who fixed it, Mark, taught the 15 year old and her 12 year old best friend how to repair the tire. In payment Mark made the two girls take the rubbish to the bins and once he left the girls found the bike in the middle of the road next to a stranger who was inspecting the bike although the girls believe he was ready to steel it.
